Parrot Pride 2016
Hogsback will be hosting their second annual Parrot Pride, which is an event that celebrates pride and diversity. The three-day festival will take place at various venues in the Eastern Cape Town from 18-20 March 2016.
This event brings the entire community together for the largest, most unique pride festival that the Eastern Cape has ever seen. Lovers of fun and merriment are invited to join in on the weekend-long festivities, which will include many parties and heaps of entertainment.
A highlight of the event includes being entertained by the drag goddess Roxy Le Roux, who will transform into a 'queen of the forest' for the occasion. Cabaret Shows will get audience members into the spirit of things while dirty disco will get your feet stomping and your heart pumping. For a more elegant affair, interested parties are invited to a champagne breakfast in the beautiful arboretum garden. Foodies can enjoy three-course dinners with the 'Fine Dining Extravaganza'.
If you're looking to take a break from the hive of activity, rejuvenate with a couple's massage at the nearby spa, or enjoy a walk at one of Hogsback's many nature trails. If you're a lover of fine art, there are several galleries exhibiting the works of locals found throughout the village. For the more adventurous of folk, there are numerous activities to take part in, including horseback riding and abseiling.
Parrot Pride recognises and celebrates our differences as human beings. If you're looking to celebrate that diversity in the tranquil setting of Hogsback, then be sure to book your tickets to avoid disappointment.
